Anxiety is often a taboo word in Christian circles and communities. It’s kind of like the elephant in the room that everyone is aware of but nobody wants to discuss. And depending on your experiences or faith upbringing, having anxiety or anxious thoughts might be the last thing you’d want to discuss within the context of a faith community!

But the truth is Anxiety impacts millions of Americans deeply. In fact, anxiety disorders are the most common form of mental illness in the U.S., affecting over 18% of adults (nearly 1 out of 5 adults).

Why are we talking about this? Well, because October is Mental Health Awareness Month and our October Faithbox has been curated around this theme of Anxiety. Our desire is to help encourage those who are wrestling with anxiety and anxious thoughts by shedding light on the issue and bringing hope through our Faithbox.

While we don’t intend to speak about Anxiety from a medical or clinical perspective, we do want to speak about anxiety from a scriptural and biblical basis.

The Bible offers incredible counsel and guidance regarding anxiety and anxious thoughts, and our prayer is this counsel will encourage and strengthen your walk with Jesus during the course of the month.

Our Everyday Faith Devotional will follow the footsteps of David – a man who was deeply acquainted with anxiety and anxious thoughts –through the Psalms to see what we can learn about dealing with our own anxious thoughts. And each of the products in the Anxiety Faithbox have been curated to help bring peace, comfort, and hope to your life. These products serve as thoughtful reminders and encouragements when you’re struggling or feeling low.

We know that fighting the battle of anxiety is not easy, and we want you to know you’re not alone.

We’re all in this together!
